Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the new version of Alto on 16th October 2012 named Alto 800. Already Alto is one of the best selling car in India. With over two million unit sales since launch in 2000, Reports have additionally claimed that it is also the largest selling compact car globally.
Maruti Suzuki will be launching the new Auto 800 in the next month to cope up with the competing market conditions & the new launches in the recent times by various brands. The company is currently competing with Tata nano & Hyundai EON & Chevrolet Spark. Earlier when the car launched is first Alto 12year back there were not so many car in this segment.
The New Alto 800 will also come in the CNG Version & the Price of the car is expected to be around 2lakh.
According the source we came to know that the sales of the Alto has been decreased by around 34.83 percent in the April-August period to 89,000 units as compared to 1.22 lakh units in the year-ago period.
Tgis New Alto 800 has a updated 800cc engine with 10% higher torque. The car has airbags too which was not available in the previous versions, The car has also the improved gear shifting to increase its smoothness. The company in total has made around Rs470 crore investment for the new Alto 800.
